Blogging Drunk

So I'm drunk. What better time to update my blog??
Blugging drunk is actually pretty easy. If I was sober I'd think "no one would want to see these drawings, self." Hahahahaha. Here we go!

Any of these lined paper pads are while I'm drawing at work. Usually during meetings or while my computer is busy being an idiot or while I'm staring at someone. For this one, it's a bear with a looooong tongue.

I watch Claude while he animates small toys.

Claude had an ear ache this day. I drew a diagram of a netti pot. It's a wonderful, addictive device that pours water through your nose and makes all your sinus pains go away. But be careful! Tap water through the nose has lead to brain eating bacteria taking a trip to your big thinker. Death ensues!! Haha. Seriously, boil your water beforehand and then let it cool.

This is one of my favorite drawings of Claude. It captures the moment when I sing to him and he pretends not to hear me.

Some LBX Emperor anime character that someone likes.

Here's Leon really clicking fast on his mouse. The weirdest thing is there was nothing on his screen, oh well!

Computers are real dumb and take forever to do things - like render! Normally while my computer is sitting there I draw my grotesque hands.

An ok picture of Richard during a meeting. A terrible drawing of Chris. Chris you don't look like this drawing and I hope you never see it.

See those "V" shape drawings in the center of the page? They're boobs.

Eh I don't know why this one is here.

That Japanese roof thing is at the huntington gardens. A beautiful place to sit around and pretend you live in a land of beautiful plants and scenery.

A bunch of scribbles and a naked girl. Her boob is way to high up in her armpit.

Some tablet designs. The idea I was thinking was a sleek, rugged tablet for the business man that would replace a briefcase. But who carries briefcases anymore? Dumb idea.
The gem on this page is the quote in the top right corner "computers will understand whales." HAhHAHA. I don't know what I was smoking when I wrote that! Computers are stupid.

A mans face without the fleshy parts.

Ugh. I started drawing this at 3AM while watching Pain and Gain. Hence the large dwyane the rock Johnson face in the center. I actually tried gluing paper obver the face so I could draw more skulls. The whole time I was saying "this isn't going to work." Whelp...

Why did I put this one on here?

That's it buddies!!! Thanks for checking out my drunken blog! I really appreciate anyone spending a few seconds of their life to look at these pictures I try to make. I wish I could make them better or inspire you to make something better. Thanks buddy!

One of One Custom Toy Show pt. 2

Wiring it up!

I get OCD when it comes to preparation.

Adding texture.

Slap on some paint. Connect a backpack chain. Plug in a couple bulbs and grow some vegetation.

Meet Mitch no. 6!

One of One Custom Toy Show pt. 1

I was honored by the legendary KMNDZ to participate in his toy show. Here's a couple shots of the process in building and prepping before painting.

Greatest Rap Battles of Villany

Here's a fun project I composited for my day job. I was given an edit of this rap battle with all the characters on green screen. I took out the green screen and dropped in backgrounds that the illustration department made. Then I looked in a big, beautiful stock footage library of smoke, blood, rubble, fire, blood, explosions, blood and some blood. Then I added it together, changed the colors around and made it look like the characters weren't dancing and singing on a green screen stage.

It was a real quick deadline but super fun. My favorite part is when Frank Underwood pushed Joeffery in front of the subway. At first I added so much blood that it shot out onto the camera and big gorey chunks were stuck to the screen. The director, Noah (real talented guy, wrote the whole thing too) and the producer walked over to watch the shot. Simultaneously the producer said "disgusting..." and Noah said "perfect..." It was a good day! Unfortunately for the clients sake we had to dial back the gore, hahahaha.

Louis Theroux is back!

I couldn't be happier.
Check out his newest episode "Louis Theroux's LA Stories: City of Dogs"

Formula One

I did a quick Formula One sketch to keep my weird obsession at bay. If you think you might be interested, let me recommend a few movies to you :)

Senna - Really great documentary about the beloved Brazilian racer Ayrton Senna. This is a great film by itself, I can't recommend it enough.

Rush - A pretty decent movie. It's definitely entertaining and holds your attention. The ad campaign was terrible. I didn't know what it was about until after a few friends told me to see it.

1 - Possibly the worst title for a movie. Good luck trying to find this one online. Forgetting the name, it's a good documentary if you're into Formula One. It's about how engineering and safety evolved in the sport. The pacing is slow, feels like something from PBS. If you watch Senna and Rush then you may want to see this.

Thanks

Beautiful day in LA

Took a stroll through the Huntington Library gardens today. That place is so pretty I foresee a annual pass in my future.

Animal Robot

Last night for dinner I was craving fish & chips. Lucky Baldwins in Pasadena has the ones I like. I went for fish and a pint, it's what guys do.
The waitress saw my sketchbook and asked if I was part of the 'sketch club?' "No, but now I'm curious." She said they were outside, I grabbed my pint and sneakily made my way outside to scope things out. I wasn't very sneaky because I heard someone call my name immediately stepping foot outside the door. Who other than the talented Victoria Ying and her equally talented husband Mike Yamada! They were joined by the amazing Arthur Fong and background master Juan Garrido. It was a very nice surprise!
After squeezing myself into their club, Vicky started a game where everyone has to write down what they hate to draw. Naturally I wrote 'Horses.' F- horses.
The paper I drew out of the hat said 'Animal Robot,' and I was quite happy to draw the most logical of all robots, the possum!

Buddy Visit

My pals, Dane and Colin visited for the weekend. We had a grand guy time. Sunday we went to Los Angeles Gun Club and were reassured we would all stick together during the zombie apocalypse. Well, at least stick close to Colin because he can shoot a fool in the face from far aaawwwwwaaaayyyyy!
