My Artistic Development During 2003 - 2005

My first Wacom drawing. I remember how excited, amazed and driven I was when I laid down that first digital line. This drawing of Russel from the Gorillaz was the beginning of my life in digital art.

This last photo is out of order. It's my messy art studio in high school.

Thanks for checking out my stuff. I figured no one wanted to see what I drew during my teenage angst years so I took them off the internet a long time ago. 

I plugged in some old hard drives recently and found a folder of  my work in it. I'm not embarrassed by this anymore and they actually inspire me to work harder. Thanks :)

Drawing nook

Before work in the morning I warm up in my little drawing nook. It's pretty cute and I love that thing. The only thing not pictured is my copious amounts of coffee. My best guess is I'm holding my coffee in the other hand while I took this photo.

Sonic fails miserably at rescuing a cat from a tree

I did some compositing on this Sonic commercial. I took care of the wide shot where Knuckles pulls the tree out of the ground. That shot was a lot of fun.
I worked on the final shot with Sonic holding the cat. That shot was BRUTAL. It's one of those times when you just want to lay down and not get up for a long time. The cat looked terrible. We went a week overdue trying to get the cat somewhat presentable. If I learned anything from this project it's that I have the patience of a coma patient, that is screaming inside their own mind.
In the end, Sonic fans like the commercial and I can't ask for any more than that.

*Update on the 3rd stop-motion short*
It's finished! The animation by Claude (same animator that did Sonic above) looks amazing. The production quality and story is the best of the 3 shorts. It is the work I'm most proud of.

Buuuuutttttttttttttt........due to circumstances out of my control, it will probably never be shown. Big sad face =(
