How to get better at drawing?

Copy better artists than you. I studied a drawing by the instructive Kenyon Cox to improve my sense of weight and proportions.

I love using Pinterest to find great reference.

Aladdin & Jasmine Broke Up

Aladdin feels a sense of motivation while harboring feelings of defeat as he turns North in the desert towards the inevitable.

Photogrammetry R&D

Check out this photogrammetry test I made: https://vimeo.com/251919630

Photogrammetry is the process of programmatically converting a photo into a 3D model.

For this test I had 200 photos taken of my co-workers bobble head toy. I ran the photos through Agisoft Photoscan to process the images. It took 6 hours of processing time.

I'm going to try running it through the software again using less photos and trying different setting to see if I can reduce some of the surface lumps. I'll give RealityCapture software a try too. Ultimately I'd like to physically build stop motion maquettes then using photogrammetry bring them into a 3D animated scene (set made from doll house furniture). The quality of the surface and imperfections should make a really interesting look. This is not a faster way to create 3D models because the mesh is incredibly dense and will have to be completely rebuilt before it can be used in production. I'm curious to see what a decimation tool like Simplygon can do for it. That'll be the next test.
